Default 8ohm speakers 4ohm tap

When I built my 2A3 Loftin-White I ordered 3K Pri with single 4ohm secondary OPT's from Electra-Print as at the time, I had 4ohm Klipsch speakers that I thought I'd never get rid of, well I got rid of them & now have 8ohm speakers. Seems to sound okay, but can't help wondering if I should order new OPT's with 8ohm secondary.

If I got this right, I'm essentially loading the 2A3 with an effective 6K load with the consequences of:

Less power
less distortion
less amplifier output impedance

I suppose there's more to it than that as speaker impedance is usually all over the place.

You've answered all your own questions correctly. If you're getting sufficient output power for your needs, why go to the expense of changing it?
