We work on Mc Intosh products since 30 years and we had to refix some output transformers for MC225 , MC240, and MC275 .
After spending many hours in research of what is the " secret " of the ouput transformer construction , we found that the main problem is to find a "source" for the same wires with idendical enamel to avoid corona effect . We never find any . If somebody is abble to rewind one MC275 output transformer , we will recommend you to replace the two original type by the 2 brand new "made" to keep perfect sound matching of the unit .
