This may be a silly question.....
If a schematic calls for, say a 0.47uF 100V cap, can I substitute for a higher voltage rated cap - say 0.47uF 630V??? - I assume this is safe, but will it adversely affect the circuit, or cause any issues??
Is the rule of thumb to meet or exceed the voltage specification in any case??
