re-stacking an output transformer

so for the evenings entertainment i dissassembled some magnavox output transformers.

id like to re-stack the laminations as e's and i's and reassemble with an air-gap (waxed paper), for an experiment as a single ended tranny.

they are 4300 ohm to 4 ohm from an amp185aa.
i know i will have poor bass performance due to the smallish core
but this is just an experiment.

what im wondering is how is the primary on a trans like this wound?
in other words, if i wire this for single ended use do i tape off the
red centre tap and wire the blue to the plate and the green to b-plus? are these wound concentrically starting with plate-b+-plate?

in a single ended transformer is the plate connection the start of the winding closest to the core or is it the end of the winding farthest from the core? anyone familiar with this kind of thing or have tried this?
