Hello to all.I just picked up a sansui 1000a tube receiver. It is original & works.I have read on other forums & on other vintage recievers that the smart thing to do is to replace the caps & Volatage regulators & a handfull of other componets because of there age or that there prone to failure.I am not a electronics tech but can easily replace nessasary componets. Can someone tell me what usually is replaced in detail.I am going to order a schmatic & some deoxit for it tonight. Please message me at my home email add. Thanks in advance, tom

Hi, Definately replace the 4 caps that go to the control grids of the 7591 output tubes. These are almost always bad, so to change them is a must. The other caps in the unit will also be leaky but those are the main 4 that need to be replaced.
