Found these suckers at a Harbor Freight store.
Its just polarized US 2 prong plug for the wall,
with a fuse (and a spare) inside. On clearance.
Snatched up half a dozen on the cheap cheap.
Had two ancient amps I was needing some
sort of a fuse before dared power up anyway.
This no-mod solution was way too lazy. Just
stick it on the end of the existing power cord.
Which solves another problem. With the old
unpolarized cords, which wire inside the amp
to fuse? You certainly don't want to blow the
return and float the whole thing on the hot!
Especially in the event of something gone
horribly wrong what blows the fuse in the
first place. Shoulda held out for something
better like GFCI, but not for $2! Polarized
with fuse is still better than nothing at all.
Fuse inside seem to be 3A, which might be a
little much. And the size is funny. Like normal
glass fuse in diameter, but only half length...
They aren't the usual little ones.
Still, if you find yourself in a Harbor Freight,
