Hi everyone,
This is my first post in the tube section.....
Thanks to JB and www.tubecad.com I am hopeful it will go well!!
I have a full tube cad line stage in the works consisting of:
The Janus Regulator with Hammond transformer
Nine pin Aikido board (probably 12au7/12au7 or 12au7/6h30)
TCJ attenuator kit (the old non-elma version)
and input selector switch.
I selected parts based on what I've used before and, at least to me, they represent a good value.
I got the boards from John very quickly and the quality is very good. The included instruction manuals are excelent and very helpful. I've built a few diy kits before and this one looks to represent a reasonable challenge.
I will do my best to add pictures as my project progresses!
Nate

So the preamp is up and running! I will add a couple pics this weekend-
I used a 6CG7 (input) and 6DJ8 (output)-
anyway, it sounds great. I am currently using a Rogue Magnum 66 line stage and while the Aikido is still settling in I am already pretty confident that the Aikido is clearly superior. It is super quiet and went together without a hitch.
