Default ask jan first

hi

any experience with Jan Philipp Wüsten's range of output transformers?

http://www.die-wuestens.de/eindex.htm

click catalogue ..

very reasonable prices, allthough lacking in the sex department

thinking about getting some ATRA0238 fro my 6C4C experiments

not affiliated in any way, btw

cheers,

Around Germany and maybe parts of Europe he has a very good reputation. Ordered parts from him many times, though no output transformers.
But all his iron comes from a knowledgeable winder, not some backyard twister.
He's in the business for so long you can really trust him..plus he's a very friendly guy (had him on the phone once).

I have done several deals with Jan.
Always responsive and quick to reply and ship. I have not tested his transformers, but as a parts supplier he comes highly recommended.

I use his ATRA0247 and 200mA chokes in two separate amps and must say I'm very happy with the performance; low shipping rates + friendly service (don't be surprised if you find a small sack of candy in the parcel )

This amp, recently shown and demonstrated at ETF08, uses ATRA-0288 OPTs from Jan Wüsten.

I have been dealing with Jan for many years, and have a small PP amp made with one of his budget range PP transformer.
Extremely satisfied with the great sound. He is also a great guy!

hi there,

used a set of atra 0427 once, that set was not good.
I got some strange measuremets from those.

After mailing with Fragjanzuerst, there was no problem at all for returning them.

Also, they have some handy replacement electrolytics.
