Lightbulb Is there a stock 6c33c-b Transformer?

I got a hold of some 6c33c-b tubes new and very cheap after looking them over I decided to look into some designs.
Is there any transformer manufacturer that makes a stock 120v power transformer for them. I have looked but have found nothing. they need 6.3 volt and 7 amp, I am afraid it may have to be custom made. DOH.
Any help agreciated,
Bill

If it's the big fat one with titties on top then go to http://www.borbelyaudio.com
He sells a 15 watt SE amp using that tube and sells transformers seperately. Check out his past articles section for the design for that amp and hold on to your hat cause he ain't cheep.

hammond makes some a whole line of various filament transformers.

i'd go for 12v though, and run the dual heaters in series instead of parallel.

also, if you limit plate dissipation to 45w instead of 60 (i assume this is more of a cathode emmission limit than Pa limit.. but..) you can run a 6C33C with only one of the 2 heaters.

if you want i can find you the single heater curves, they are different than double heater, of course..

Bill,

Hammond make a 6.3V 10A filament trans in the PT-166S6 for about $US25.

There are also tons of quality surplus trans availble on ebay.
