I get alot of queries from many constructors who cannot abide the concept of using an "n" ch inverted mosfet in the neg leg of a fullwave psu for soft start. The relay coil can be connected to a neg line, a simple B+ self protect for grid bias failure. The possibilities are endless.
So here it is. The power mosfet requires ferrite beads and a snubber (to avoid squegging) can be reclaimed from an old tv line stage and the component ratings obviously rated for the voltages.
I claim no originality for this simple design, only to mention those who meddle with high voltages, know the danger to life darein. It's your life !
