Voltage Doubler

I want to build a voltage doubler circuit using a single tube rectifier circuit. Can somebody suggest a generic non solid state design.

not with a single tube... single envelope perhaps. How much voltage / current?

A 6BY5 should work.

Yes, it will "work". As will the 117Z6, which was intended for service in "300" V. doubler supplies.

However, as discussed in this AA thread, the technical superiority of SS diodes in voltage multipliers is (IMO) undeniable.
