24 or 24a as driver in 2 stage..?

Has anuone tried this 24 or 24a tetrode as driver in 2 stage amp..? I have read somewhere on asian DIY site that it worked & worked well on a 2 stage 2a3 amp. I have yet to get more details on this, hopefully I will. I have alot of 24 & 24a & would like to try 2 stage with them. Any suggestions on this..?

The original Loftin-White used the 224 as the input tube. Follow the links...

24 works quite well - 'though some can be microphonic.
Keep the voltage on the screen low for best sonics.
