ECC88 vs E88CC

First of all, please excuse my ignorance in this subject, I'm completely inept with tubes! (more so then all other electronics at this point....)

I've order some of the Tube Buffered Gain Clones boards from Rhys over at the chipamp side of the forum and he calls for an ECC88 tube as the buffer.

I'm looking on Tubeman.com for these tubes, and I get a lot of E88CC's instead. I've gathered that these are the "High Quality ECC88".

So will the E88CCs work in an unaltered ECC88 circuit?

Also, what other code names does the ECC88 go by?

Thanks,
Steve

ECC88 = 6DJ8

E88CC = 6922

They all are the same except for the maximum ratings and filament currents.

The E88CC will work in any circuit in place of the ECC88.
The reverse is possible only within the maximum ratings.

Cheers
