Step Attenuators

I'm looking for a someone who can point me in the right direction in finding how to calculate a 24 step log attenuator, or to a site that may have the necessary values. I've seen one with 20 steps, but I'd rather use 24, if possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

What type of attenuator are you looking for?

Basically you have a seies attenuator or a ladder type.
The series one is easier to build and presents a contstant impedance to the source.
A bit better sounding but more complex is the ladder type AKA the shunt attenuator.

Here's a link to a site where you can download an Exel datasheet allowing for calculation of values for both types of attenuators:
