Hi all,
Just wandering if anyone out there has tried to run a 813 in screen drive mode? I'm talking se by the way. I was thinking about trying it and was curious if anyone had any advice. Thanks, Nick |

Just from a quick look at the datasheet, the 813 doesn't seem like a good candidate- the screen drive requirements are much too high. Ideally, you'd want a tube where something less than 200V will get the tube conducting hard (thus the suitability of high perveance sweep tubes). The 813 looks like if would want at least 400V which is a pretty challenging drive level.
In theory, you could use a stepup transformer to hit the required swing, but at those drive levels, it would be an expensive and tricky proposition.

Thanks SY
Don't know to much about screen driving so figured I'd ask. You answered some other question I had too, thanks. |
