I have and old PA amp that would be a good candidate for Fender Pro build (2 6L6s). Does anyone have any experience with early Fender Pro circuits? Does any one have opinion on which sound best and would be a worth the time to recreate?
Thanks |

Fender has a lot of "Pro" circuits with two 6L6 output tubes. The Pro amp goes all the way back to the beginning for Fender. There's a narrow panel tweed that's a cool circuit that sounds sort of like a high powered deluxe.
The later pro reverb is about the same amp as the super except for the speakers and the mid control. Could be a very cool amp. The old ones sound good and the circuits are extremely simple. It would be tough to build an amp with similar features that used fewer parts. |
