Default Need some help identifying which tubes are suitable

Hello

I'm looking to find or compile a list of all valves and variants which are the same as any 9 pin tube that has the same pin-out as the ecc88 with pin 9 not used and heater voltages of either 12.6V or 6.3V.

Being new to tube rolling I want to know which valves would be suitable but with all the different variants and codes it is a bit mind boggling

I know some of you guys in here are veritable valve encyclopaedias so if you guys in the know could help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

Even if you can point me in the right direction it would help me. I am trying to teach myself but am getting quite confused.

Thanks

Matt

That "E" in European type designations is indicative of "6" V. heaters.

The 6DJ8/ECC88 has an internal shield connected to pin 9. Russian "6" V. heater types with an identical pinout are the 6Н1П, 6Н2П, and 6Н30П. Western "6" V. types with an identical pinout are the 6CG7 and 6GM8/ECC86. The 7058 pins out identically to the 6DJ8, but it has a 12-14 V. automotive heater.

"6" V. types lacking the internal shield connected to pin 9, but otherwise identical in pinout, are the 6FQ7, the 6GU7, and the 6AX7. The "12" V. heater 12FQ7 also lacks an internal shield.

Do not assume the types I enumerated exhaust the possibilities.
