Question Frank's Tube Database Down?

Just checked Frank's and as of 22:07GMT today there are no data sheets available. Result of any search is a "forbidden error."

Not sure whether this is a coding error on the site, an indication that the site download quota has been reached this month or what..

Links to mirrors do not work either..

Yeah, like many though I prefer to use the search feature on the original Polish based site - it just works better. When you click search on the above site it will take you directly to the search engine on the home site which the results mentioned.

Tested again at 22:30 GMT and it is still down.. Not sure what the story is.

Did you attempt to download a data sheet using the search function?

http://www.mif.pg.gda.pl/homepages/frank/vs.html

Here is the site that has all of the search engine functionality (any time you click search on this or most common mirrors it will refer you to the site above) and when you attempt to use the search engine it finds the type but returns a "forbidden" error when attempting to download the target file. Perhaps this only affects users in the United States or those with specific IP addresses..

I just emailed Frank Philipse about the issue I mentioned and will report anything I hear..

I've just tried downloading some datasheets and some download ok and some don't!
I think this may be a DNS issue because I've just downloaded a KT66 datasheet from the US mirror but with some of the Eurpoean mirrors I get 403 and 404 errors!

I found that no files hosted on the .pl site were accessible, it is a shame that the same search engine functionality does not exist on the mirrors. I guess that makes me lazy..
