I've noticed the European DHTs fetching large money on ebay - maybe because there are radio sets that require them.
But for the ordinary constructor, has anyone tried the following: #RE034 Filaments: 4v at 0.065A Base: Max Va 200v Watts S 1.2 Ra 9.1k Mu 25 #RE074 neutro Filaments: 4v at 0.065A Base: Max Va 120v Watts S 1.1 Ra 9.1k Mu 10 #RE084, #A410 Filaments: 4v at 85mA Base: Max Va 150v Watts S 2 Ra 8k Mu 16 #RE134 Filaments: 4v at 150mA Base: Max Va 200v Watts 3w S 2 Ra 5k Mu 10 #RE304 Filaments: 4v at 300mA Base: Max Va 200v Watts 6w S 2 Ra 2.5k Mu 5 #RE604 Filaments: 4v at 650mA Base: Max Va 200v Watts 12w S 3.5 Ra 1k Mu 3.5 #RS241 Filaments: 4v at 0.6A Base: Max Va 400v Watts 15w S 3.5 Ra 4.9k Mu 17 #KC1 Filaments: 2v at 65mA Base: P Max Va 150v Watts 0.5w S 0.6 Ra 40k Mu 24 #KC3 Filaments: 2v at 210mA Base: P Max Va 150v Watts 1w S 2.5 Ra 12k Mu 25 any views of interest! I've got some AA types and plan on getting some BA/BAS types as well to experiment with. These are German Post Office dhts and are still relatively reasonably priced compared to RE series stuff..
Valvo, Siemens and RFT all made AA, BA, and BAS types.

Hi Kevin,
Have you listened to these in equipment? Quite high Rp for Aa and Ba - 25k to 30k. Cool looks, but odd bases. andy |

I haven't yet listened to any of these types or even powered them up on the bench. Yes, I am aware of the high Rp which precludes their use with transformers unfortunately, so I would probably use them in a dissimilar mu follower configuration because of that issue. They are quite popular in Germany and haven't become hideously expensive yet, although the Siemens made ones are not particularly inexpensive. I have a pair of the funky sockets these require as well. Just something else to play with..
