DC heaters for 5687 in Aikido?

Getting ready to do a point to point Aikido with 5687s in the second position and was wondering if DC heaters are needed. I've heard that 5687s tend to be sensitive to AC heater ripple but was wondering if it applies to the Aikido design or not. TIA...

Oh, one more question... would a 6X4 rectifier tube be enough with a 6CG7 in the first position?
