Assume you mean the mains transformer? (Hot output trafo would be bad news).
SE Amplifier can heat their mains trafo, especially:
- not-so-good transformer with 15 to 25W of iron losses;
- capacitor-input filter power supply design.
It's probably OK, but might be wise to find a way of measuring the temperature, so that you can keep watch on it. 70 deg C is probably fine, but much more is a sign of trouble.
Be sure to turn it off when you go out!
