I bought the 5687 aikido kit (partial) - pcb, tubes and resistors pack.
I'd like to run the circuit on the recommended values in the userguide. B+ 250v R2,4 cathode resistors for input tube 6CG7 - 560ohm, 5ma R8,11 cathode resistors for output tube 5687 - 540 ohm, 10ma However, the resistor pack comes with 470 and 1k ohm for R2,4, 300 and 470 ohm for R8,11. Those who also bought the resistor pack, what values did you use? If I were to use 1k for R2,4 and 470 ohm for R8,11 do I need to use a different B+? I've sent an email to John.B but no reply yet. |
