Yakov Aronov amps

Anyone out there have experience or opinions on the early 90s Yakov Aronov line of amps. I picked up two of the 120 Watt stereo units, eight GE 6550s, and a pair of 6AN8s in each amp. Circuit is a Dynaco knock off. The output xfmrs are huge and the power xfmrs buzz like hornets, too small for the job. The amps look kinda retro , glass front panel with red pinstripes. There is not very much info out there, called the company in Beverly Hills I think it was, whoever answered the phone was a jerk and didn't know anything about the amps. For 100 bucks apiece I couldn't resist. Thinking about making two big mono units out of them.
