That's a hybrid bridge rectifier. The "sand" diodes form the path to ground. Use UF4007s in parallel with 10 nF. high WVDC snubber caps., to keep SS diode switching noise out of the power trafo.

thanks

Hi Costa
5687 merit something better. Why you want to use that circuit?
I think just tube it's better but 470uF after 6X4 it's wrong. I'm not sure but I remember 8uf it's the limit for 6X4 rectifier. Anyway you can use a capacitance multiplier with great satisfaction.
Good work

The limitation is peak current - if there's enough series resistance, 4700 uF would be OK... PSU Designer (program form duncanamps.com) can tell you what the peak current is...

The 10nF is connected one capacitor across each silicon diode.

No, pure tube will not sound any better IMHO. Using a tube rectifier for half of the bridge effectively suppresses noise from the other half (the SS half). It's a good solution, and the best tube diodes to use are TV damper diodes.

It will sound the same as a pure tube rectifier.
