WARNING: Tube/Valve amplifiers use potentially LETHAL HIGH VOLTAGES.
Building, troubleshooting and testing of these amplifiers should only be
performed by someone who is thoroughly familiar with
the safety precautions around high voltages.
Should I worry about driving my 6SN7's with a 12.6 vdc supply and filament voltages dividing between tubes. I'm measuring a high of 6.4
and a low of 5.9vdc. Will this have any audible consequence?? Has anyone used AC filament with the Aikido??
You should be Ok wiring them in series, although if one goes open neither tube will heat and if one shorts you get the 12.6 across the other. I have my 4 wired in series and never had a problem....
