Hi, everyone. . I am considering a 6L6 SE after finishing my 12ax7 pream. . ... Can someone give me a recommendation or suggestion? many thanks.

My suggestion is that since you have a very high gain preamp, that you don't need a high gain driver. Instead, the power amp should have a overall gain that is quite low. Try a 12b4 as a driver, or perhaps a 6t4 if you want a little more gain.

Consider the one shown in JC Morrison's Fi Primer with an EF86/6SJ7 pentode driving a 6L6/807 in UL. Nice sound. Do a search on "fi primer".
