Hello all,
I would like to use the 6MN8, but only 2 of the triodes (diff amp). What can I do with the other grid/plate to totally keep them out of the equation? Since I'm running fixed bias, maybe I run the raw B- to the 3rd grid and tie the plate to one of the other two, or to the raw regulated driver supply (-85v on the grid should prevent any significant current draw). Any thoughts? |

You dont really need to do anything to it. You can leave the 3rd grid and the 3rd plate open. No 'extra' current will flow if the plate is open.
