Very interesting concept, thank you for sharing. If I may ask a few questions:

How does it sound, did you compare it to other preamps that you built and how do you rate it compared to those topologies.

How good is channel balance with your design (assuming you had exactly the same control voltages for both channels)? Btw. I presume you could use a single mono pot to create the control voltage?

Hello MRupp

I am happy with the sound after "tube rolling".
You have to find quiet ECC82 Gyrator triodes
and well matched EF86 to get a good channel balance.

A volume pot is definitely the easier way,
but I wanted a tube solution.

I am going to add a simple cable remote control (poti in a box)*
This makes sense to me.
