Anyone running Mikael's SE KT88 in Pentode?
Last night I was doing some comparative listening with my newly built speakers, and find that I prefer the sound of this amp in Pentode mode. This amp did not sound as good in Pentode mode with my previous JBL 3-way speakers. Is there a reason that the Pentode mode sounds better with a TQW pipe type speaker?
Here's the speakers I'm using: TQWP speakers Here's the drivers I'm using: Tang Band W4-616SA Just curious if anyone else prefers the sound of this amp in Pentode mode. Glenn
