I found from the datasheet that the triode connection of 4E27
(G2 connected to Plate, G3 connected to Filament) works as a low Mu-Factor triode (Mu=5) although the maximum plate voltage is limited to 750V which is the G2's max rating. Mu=5 is similar to 845. I think it is a good substitution of 845 although formfactor and filament voltage are different each other. Now top brand 845 is difficult to obtain. I want to hear opinions on this. |
