I have a pair of Sennheiser HD600 headphones and would like to try them with the tube amp I built. The amp is a SE 2a3 using a Plitron audio xformer with a 8 ohm output impedance. The headphone Impedance is 300 ohms. Not sure if you can just hook up that load to the amp.

I would put an 8 ohm resistor across the output. Then connect the headphones across that. You don't need much wattage for the resistor because your ears don't need it. And shouldn't get it either.
