Do you work in accounting during the day? ;)

Sorry, I don't. . .

I just get excited about the costs and
then find out the "real" cost of something. . .
I should have included the cost of running
the Decware amps while in the house. . .
what was that kWh cost again. . .$0.13/kWh!

Time to take the unit back to UPS for shipping also!

Maybe the main reason was so everybody can see what
it will really cost when they decide to buy the amp and maybe
return the unit if it doesn't sound how they wanted. . .

I'm sure the amps would sound great.

That's why you don't try one, unless your seriously considering buying ;)

Just a bunch of $$. . .just doing the cost analysis. . .Decware has
a new kit the ZEN PLATE MODEL ZSP-1. . .

The Zen used to be available as a point to point kit. Decware used to post the schematic on line, but have taken it off their site. If you want to build one, I have posted the schematic here

If you are interested in the Decware kit that is a cct board and no chassis, you might want to check out the Tubelab Simple SE . I have built an amp very similar to the Zen for my girlfriends office. It works very well, but the Simple SE is better and has 7-14 watts of power compared to about 2 watts.

Cheers,

Chris
