Default RCA tube rectifier

My Fender Champ came with a RCA agx GZ tube rectifier instead of a stock 5Y3GT. RCA agx GZ is written on the foot of the tube. There is no more information (it's a black plate). Not on the foot, nor on the glass.
What kind of tube is this. My amp is running ok with it.

Regards

The tube may be a GZ34 (5AR4).

RCA generally marked the glass above the key in the base. Try breathing on the tube there and look at that area. Usually it's in an octagon.

agx GZ sounds like a manufacturing code and not the tube type. Mr. Bavis is correct where the tube type is usually printed on the glass. It's not unusual for it to rub off, so you may have to look carefully under good lighting to find the markings. If they're missing just look for pictures of RCA 5Y3GT's, 5U4G, and 5AR4 to compare to. Ebay is a good source of photos.

What I have found to work quite often is to put the tube in the freezer. Ice may form differently where the number is making it visible. You still have to look closely.
