DIY stepped attenuator

Hi all,
I'm looking at Thorstens table of values for 24 position stepped attenuator. On the input to wiper side the first 11values are a fixed 100K. My question is - can I simply link all these switch positions together and use a single 100K resistor for all 11 positions??

The "Eurdice" preamp with a Ladder attenuator.

As I'm sure Shoog has realised, logic says that one 100k should be identical. I guess build it and see.......

Exactly what I was thinking, but I tend to mistrust my own internal logic as it often leads to strange conclusions
