Default Sirius & FM

Alright, here's one for you guys...Why is it that while burning-in and biasing a new quad of JJ KT77s I listened to my best FM and CDs, but found their sound not as I expected....Bass shy and a little too much treble...I was saving my Vinyl till I was sure things were 'Right'. That is until I tuned in my Sirius on the FM, and Wow, Way better...Normally, through the Clarion's output jack the sound is light, to say the least....But tuned in on my Pioneer TX-9100 it sounds better than my best local FM station or CD. Fuller, more balanced, much nicer Bass and Head turning Mids..better than a straight Aux. input connection too.
Why is this so?

How about telling us non-psychics what your amp is?

Sorry.....But you still need to be a Psychic... It's a True One of a Kind... A ST70 with KT77's, 6U10's and no rectifier tube...See Pic..

Well then give us a schematic if you want meaningful replies. Don't mean to be rude but isn't this common sense?

Well, I'd be willing to believe your Sirius beats FM, even though popular opinion is to the contrary. However, Sirius beating a quality CDP seems far fetched to me. I'd suspect a technical problem like impedance mismatch before accepting that.

But why would the Sirius FM sound so much more full bodied and dynamic than full signal local FM? I thought that the Tubes were running low bias until I tuned in the Sat. Radio...Now I'm starting to wonder about what to use as a reference source....Maybe it's time for the Vinyl..

Well if you are running the sirius "on FM" then I suspect that the FM modulator is messing with the frequency response.
