Hi, I was just wondering if it was possible to set up an all tube amplifier for use after a yaha/soha style SE gain stage. If it can go with output caps instead of trafos that would be nice. Is it possible? I've seen somewheres an EL84 used as a kathode follower with an LM317 set as a 40mA CCS, reminiscent of a szekeres circuit. It had output caps of around 470uF. What would be the lowest b+ I could use? Any help would be awesome

If I were to use an el84 as cathode follower I would use 250v across the tube. Thats 250v + voltage across the ccs load. So if you have say 20v across the ccs then use B+ of 270v.
