Default To choke or not to choke

Have been modeling some options for PS filters for my SE 6EL7 amp project. My PT has 327V and 265V taps so I can get very similar output voltage and ripple performance using CLC or CRCRC (only need CRC for the single channel test circuit but extra stage necessary for stereo version).

So the question is, if I can get the same ripple performance (target I have in mind is 300V with 400-500mV ripple) with either method is there any sonic advantage to one over the other? Any stability advantages?

The LC version will probably have lower output resistance, which will reduce crosstalk if two channels share the same supply. In theory, LC is quieter but it usually needs some snubbers. Make sure you've checked the peak choke current.
