Hi There
I just finished 1 channell of my 12 Volt pre amp for my Kart Trailer sound system. I have 2 12el6's configured in srpp run by a battery and by jingos it doesnt sound too bad at all. I have 1k on the cathode to anode connection and 1k on the lower tubes cathode. Current draw is 350 mA per side. I had read that space charge tubes "like" a bit of current. Funnily enough the amp still puts out signal with only the heaters turned on and the volume increases once i kick the anode supply in. Output is a little low so i might halve the value of the cathode resistors to 500 Ohm instead of 1k. AT this point i have .15V on the cathode resistor to ground which equates to .00015mA. The top tube b+ is 12V whilst the lower is 9V. I figure it should have 1/2 b+ on it so i need to mess with the resistor value All in All a very satisfying experiment. Thanks Nick
