I am to purchase eaither the Hashimoto H-20-7U / 5k/7k or the H-20-14U/ 10k/14K. Which would suit a 6v6 2 stage amp w/ 6v6 strapped in triode SE..? I am thinking the H-20-7U because I am using a 5K SE tranny pair now & it is very good. But really would like to get proper pair for this amount of $. I allready have James 6123, & want to try Hashimoto.

5K seems about right. 300V on the plate @ 40 mA, -20V bias. The James are "thick" sounding OPTs. The Hashimotos will sound "thinner" with more detail and more air/transparency.
