Default 6SN7 coin base tubes

I just found a sleeve of the coin base 6SN7 tubes in the garage. Are they worth using or should they be ebayed?

Keep them around as guinea pig tubes, use them while testing out new circuits or in any other situation where you don't want to accidentally blow up an expensive NOS 6SN7. Say for instance you bought a used amp and you're not sure if it's OK or if you suspect it may have shipping damage, pop in the coin base tubes, fire it up and see if it makes sound. If it works, great, if it does blow up, at least it didn't take your good tubes with it.

Well, it would say just try them out. I have a pair myself made by ECG.

You mean the very small base, like on metal tubes? I've always called it "wafer base", not sure if that's correct...
