A friend of mine and I built a 6bq5 amp with 12at7 preamp. Anyhow, after much trial and error, I got it running and it sounds kinda hollow on most of my CD's. Lots of mid not much else really. It doesn't have any tone control type circuitry in it. Now in the process of getting it set up, I accidentally put the 6bq5's in the 12at7 sockets and vice versa. I wasn't sure if this would damage the tubes sufficiently to make it sound worse than expected. I will try to get a scan of the schematic on here tomorrow. I have to scan it when I get home (I'm at work now :). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thx
