Default Is this the dumbest question?

Hey guys.
Without going into the vagaries or otherwise of the SRPP tube topology, has anyone tried or better still why cant you setup a tube in se config in the abovementioned cofiguration?
Thanks
Nick

SRPP is inherently push-pull. It can work with two halves of the primary in the cathodes (no center tap) and the secondary connected to a speaker.

It can be done, has been done, efficiency is poor, white CF seems to work better into low Z loads. SRPP works best with known and constant load impedances - consequently speakers aren't an optimum load.

There are a number of SRPP power stage designs out of Japan which you can usually find in cdrom tube amp schematic collections sold on eBay. Googling may turn some up as well.
