Default US sources Russian Surplus

I bet the Russian Military Surplus has some really interesting glass but how does one determine a safe reasonably priced source of such stuff in the US.

I see sites like The Siberian Shop but have no way of knowing whether they are reputable or what other good options there are.

Any experiences to relate?

They seem to have good prices, but questionable credibility of some tube descriptions. Example: 6P3S ~ 6L6G/GB and definately != 6L6GC

Cheers!

I've used a number of Ebay sellers with good results. Of course you don't receive the parts for 3 weeks or so!

I've bought tubes from eBay sellers in the Ukraine, Lativia, and Russia, and have not had a single problem with any of them. Your best and probably cheapest course of action is to deal with them..

Some sellers I have purchased from relatively recently:

I have also had no problems with sellers from Eastern Europe. Valves are always well packed, they accept paypal and apparently all valves are really NOS.

Had one shipping problem, which was resolved with no complaints. Took about 2 months to get the product. Other than that, they have been prompt in their replies, friendly, and easy to deal with. Items always as advertised.

In general, they are more desirable to deal with than american sellers. Just have to be patient with the shipping.
