You can use the Ia/Vgk graphics.
But the CA gets more linearity when loaded with a current source.

Agreed.
From my experience of building both the hybrid and all tube FVP5 linestages (though mine were differential), this one sounds the best. I haven't tried the RTP3C linestage.
