who do you graphically take the performance in a common anode amplifier? (no Ra, signal taken from cathode) thanks

Draw loadlines as if you were taking the output from the anode, then apply 100% negative feedback by moving the load resistor into the cathode circuit.

You can use the Ia/Vgk graphics.

But the CA gets more linearity when loaded with a current source.
When the voltage between anode and cathode is held constant too, the linearity is even more improved

Agreed.
From my experience of building both the hybrid and all tube FVP5 linestages (though mine were differential), this one sounds the best. I haven't tried the RTP3C linestage.
