Hi There,
we all know the Black gates (for example the high voltage 500V 100u+100u) are getting nearly extinguished so what does a DIY'er use instead of those very musical, high-end capacitor. For example I used them in a SE amplifer, in my preamps, in a PP KT88 amp. So please some recommendations.... Did by chance anyone already used the Mundorf High Voltage Electrolyte? thanks, Jan |

Yes, I did use the Mundorf, and is impressive. Very open and liquid sounding.

A nice sounding affordable HV cap is the Panasonic TSHA.
