Hey
I have a trace elliot GP12 SMX and was wondering what tube i should switch out as i havent yet, i bought it off a friend. Also, how do i get into the amp?! I cant get to the tube to save my life!! Please help! Joe |

The GP12 SMX (according to the user manual) has a single valve stage. Without getting it open and having a look inside we are purely guessing BUT it is most likely a 12AX7 and it will likely be PCB mounted in a socket.
If you can't figure out how to get the case off to look inside then maybe you shouldn't. Instead seek some knowledgable local help. Cheers, Ian |
