Hello everybody,
I will be hosting an amplifier design and construction class at VSAC 2008. We will do two sessions, one on Friday night, and one Saturday morning. Friday night, Paul Joppa of Bottlehead will give a brief design lecture surrounding the amplifier circuit and its design components. Following that, Front Panel Express will give an overview of their design software and how to construct a six-sided aluminum enclosure. Saturday morning, I will guide the class through the build process and each student will construct a 3.5 watt per channel single ended spud amp running 6FM7 compactron tubes. Cost is $795. Tools, a multimeter, an amplifier, and two days of class are included in that price. Also, you must register for VSAC to be able to attend. -Paul
