Default Suggestions on books

I would like to educate myself some more on designing and building tube amps. Any books you guys would recomend? I would like to try to design my own 807 P-P circuit. Thanks for any sugesstions. Any good ones from AES?

The obvious answer is Morgan Jones' book. You should buy that first and if you feel like you need more you can ask again.

You might look for an early version of the Radiotron Designer's' Handbook (1940-1945, up to 3rd edition). It's about 300 pages, and covers quite a bit. A used copy can be had for $9 on Amazon. Some editions are titled "Radio Designer's Handbook."

The later fourth edition (1500 page) version can come a LOT later...

If you're going to do an 807 design, then definitely get: 807 Application Report. It was mentioned before, but it's worth reiterating: Pete Millet's Site: S-loads of books on hollow state free for the downloading. Beats Amazon's prices, by far.
