While I previously tended to disregard the application of traditional spacial dimensions as hifi nutism, it would appear that for the first time, Science has published an article regarding music theory. Apparently, the author used complex theoretical math to graph the geometry of chord progressions. Perhaps "3d" sounding tubes somehow can convey these complex mathematical relationships in a more accurate light?
The article is somewhat confusing, but it sounds interesting. Videos of the geometric graphs are included! http://www.time.com/time/magazine/ar...2330-1,00.html |
