I'm hoping to not have to order a custom output transformer in the region of 1400 to 1600 ohm (plate-plate), PP, 30W
Can anyone suggest a source? I've done some searching on the net and on this forum. Not much luck. Thanks for any help. |

What's your speaker impedance? Putting 8 ohms on one of the 3.4K:16 50W transformers by Edcor seems like it might work...

Consider a power toroidal, they work well at these low impedances.

Also talk to Jack Elliano over at Electra-Print. He can certainly make what you need and at a decent price. (I'm a satisfied customer with no other affiliation.)

Check out die deutche Firmen:
Welter Electronic and Röhrentechnik . Maybe Frag Jahn Zuerst has something suitable. But I think Welter has what you need.

Edcor and Magnequest will do that for you. Edcor will be substantially less, but MQ has some great designs.
